On Friday, August 1st, those attending LeakyCon in Orlando were granted a sneak peek at the first two episodes of the upcoming Pemberley Digital (the people behind the Emmy-Award-Winning The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and Emma Approved) creation, Frankenstein, MD. Frankly, not using “Frankenstein, MD: IT’S ALIIIIVE” as the title for this article is a missed opportunity. I suppose it’s not alive quite yet. We have to wait until August 19th for that!
PBS Digital Studios has released a short trailer for Frankenstein, MD. Check it out below!
You should know that this particular adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein involves a fair amount of gender-swapping. For example, the main character in this adaptation is Victoria (not Victor, as in the book) Frankenstein, played by Anna Lore. The Igor character is renamed “Iggy DeLacey” and is played by Steve Zaragoza.
After August 19th, new episodes will be released every Tuesday and Friday!
