And you thought yesterday’s moment was lackluster. Not only does today’s moment not have any new content from J.K. Rowling, it also doesn’t have anything to collect. Double-click to zoom in and hover your mouse over the box in Riddle’s hands. That’s it. You’re done.
However, if you looked at the Pottermore Insider first, which I always do, they’re offering a new badge for successfully brewing two potions: Doxycide (Parts 1 and 2) and Shrinking Solution (Parts 1 and 2). The badge (if you’re into that sort of thing—I personally only care about the new content from J.K. Rowling, and I think most would agree with that sentiment) is for Practical Potion-Making, and it looks like this:
Since the new moment doesn’t offer any collectibles—namely ingredients to help you brew those two potions (you have to buy them at the Apothecary or collect them in other moments)—there really no reason whatsoever to visit the moment, other than to see the new artwork, I suppose. Frankly, I’m really not all that impressed by today’s “gift”, but here’s hoping that things improve this weekend!
Actually, this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday we saw the most new content from J.K. Rowling (five articles!), so maybe Pottermore is waiting until this upcoming weekend to release some more new content again. This would be a smart (albeit disappointing) move, because their target audience doesn’t have school on the weekends and is more likely to visit Pottermore then. We’ll have to wait and see. We still haven’t seen the promised new article about Draco Malfoy!
If you do want to visit today’s new moment, though, here is riddle #5 and the answer:
As with Professor Snape and Professor Slughorn, you need to enter Professor Dumbledore exactly (not “Headmaster” or “Albus” or just “Dumbledore”) in order to answer the riddle correctly. Since there’s no new content, the Pottermore Index, once again, will not be updated.
What do you think about today’s gift? Are you disappointed or are you brewing your potions to get that badge right now? Share your thoughts in the comments!
