“Our Leader the Mockingjay”.
The first official Mockingjay Teaser Trailer was released online (it was previously shown to an audience at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday) about an hour and a half ago. Now everyone can see it, and it’s beautiful.

My initial reaction to the trailer is that it’s short. Very short. And that there’s not a whole lot in it. I remember being more excited after the Catching Fire trailer. However, there are little bits that caught my attention—bits that are, nevertheless, getting me pumped for the movie in November! Some of those bits are:
- NATALIE DORMER. I’ve loved Natalie’s portrayal of Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones so much, and I’m really excited to see her in a different role—Cressida in this movie, by the way.
- Philip Seymour Hoffman. When we lost Philip in February, I thought about how hard it will be to watch these last two movies, knowing that he didn’t get a chance to the see the final product of his incredible work.
- Julianne Moore. I love Julianne Moore. I thought she was great in Lost World: Jurassic Park, and I think that she’s going to be great as President Coin in Mockingjay, Part 2.
- Jennifer Lawrence. Obviously, I’m excited to see Katniss again, because this is her story. But I’m less excited to see her again than the new actors/actresses/characters.
- BATTLE SCENES. Soldiers simultaneously climbing trees = pretty awesome.
