I’m excited. Like, beyond excited. Like, super-duper uber excited.
I’m flying out on Monday and will be returning the next Monday. For one week, I get to reconnect with old friends, make new friends, and fall in love with my favorite fandoms all over again.
I attended my very first LeakyCon in 2011, which was in Orlando then too. I didn’t know anyone then—my roommate from college, who wasn’t even a fan of Harry Potter, came with me—so when I explored the Wizarding World theme park with him during Open at the Close, I was far more excited about it than he was. This is why I’m particularly excited Open at the Close this year: I get to explore the theme park with other Potterheads, with my closest friends in this world. Riding the Hogwarts Express is going to feel particularly awesome, because it’s as if we’re all finally going to Hogwarts.
As for the rest of the convention, you can find me at the main stage. Actually, I’m the main stage coordinator for LeakyCon, so I probably won’t be attending any programming sessions other than those located at the main stage.
Please feel free to also “like”/follow/subscribe to FictionRow on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, and Google+. I promise to post lots and lots of reactions, pictures, and videos from LeakyCon eventually. I say eventually, because I can’t exactly pause working at the main stage to live tweet what’s going on, but I hope to post/tweet a little about each day in the evenings, or upload pictures/video when I get back home from LeakyCon.
If you’re going to be there, please comment below and feel free to come find me!
