Chills. This perfect trailer is perfect. It’s perfect, because it’s so ridiculously simple. It doesn’t show us several glimpses from the movie mashed-up together, as you’d typically expect from a teaser trailer. No. Instead, this teaser trailer simply shows us President Snow addressing the nation of Panem, with Peeta standing wistfully by his side.

It isn’t until the end of the trailer that he looks directly at the camera. See it for yourself below!

Here’s a transcript of Snow’s message to the nation:

Since the dark days, our great nation has known only peace. Ours is an elegant system, conceived to nourish and protect. Your districts are the body; the Capitol is the beating heart. Your hard work feeds us, and in return, we feed and protect you. But if you resist the system, you starve yourself. If you fight against it, it is you who will bleed. I know you’ll stand with me, with us, with all of us, together as one. Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever.
