In an article on FictionRow from July 31st, Pottermore: Azkaban, Chapters 16-22, one section details the new and updated moments from the Sorcerer’s Stone:

Because the “locations” and “quizzes” have been removed from the storyline and were given their own featured place within Pottermore, new moments were needed to replace them. Brand-new moments (moments that I don’t ever remember seeing) in Sorcerer’s Stone include: Diagon Alley, Gringotts, Ollivanders, and the Sorting Ceremony. Because these locations and quizzes previously had “new content from J.K. Rowling” embedded within them, this new content was moved to the new moments, so that the locations and quizzes could remain separate from the story. Re-hidden within these moments are the articles regarding hat stalls, the sorting hat, Mr. Ollivander, wand woods, wand lengths and flexibility, wand cores, and clothing, which is the same article that was featured on the “logged-out” homepage as a sample article to read before you register.

The Pottermore Insider confirmed today that there are updated moments in Sorcerer’s Stone. Rather than tell precisely what those moments are, they provided hints to help users find them for themselves:

• ‘Ain’t no safer place. Not one. Except Hogwarts’
• ‘Tricky customer, eh? Not to worry, we’ll find the perfect match here somewhere – ’
• ‘You’re in safe hands (though I have none)’
• ‘Bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses’

As you can see from those hints, I was mostly correct. The first bullet point obviously refers to Gringotts, the second to Ollivanders, the third to the Sorting Ceremony, and the fourth to Harry’s First Potions Lesson. Admittedly, I didn’t realize that the Potions Lesson moment was new, and instead, I marked Diagon Alley as being a new moment. Regardless, I was right in finding and pointing out that there are new and updated Sorcerer’s Stone moments within Pottermore.

How are you doing in filling the “discovery” status bar for each moment? Many users (myself included) were having difficulty in filling the “Sorcerer’s [Philosopher’s] Stone” moment, because you can’t discover the Stone a second time. It appears that has been fixed now, as my status bar is full for that moment. However, for the “Professor R. J. Lupin” moment, every time I log out, it’s marked as incomplete, but once I click on it, it’s marked as complete again. Is anyone else having this problem? Apart from that, I have these moments left to finish:

• The Shrieking Shack
• Gryffindor Wins the Cup
• Exam Time
