As you may have noticed, I have decided to reopen FictionRow.com. After being dead and dormant for over two years, since having become an English teacher and lost all time to work on it, I decided I wanted to start working on this website again. Almost all the old content from the previous websites that I have built has been deleted–the only pages that I did keep were the few reviews that I had written for various products: namely the Harry Potter movies and video games. I will start by copying those pages onto this website, and continue from there as I write more content for other fantasy series as well: Narnia, Lord of the Rings, and others.

However, I am leaving for a four-day vacation tomorrow, so I won’t be able to focus on this until next week. Actually, I should be packing right now rather than writing this, but I wanted to get a start on the renewal of this website before I leave, so that I can invite some visitors to come, as well as “like” this website on Facebook, so I can further spread the word about this website.

I should make clear what this website is, and what it isn’t.

In the past, I’ve had too much generic content that could be found elsewhere, and not enough unique content that I had written. With this website “revival”, I hope to focus on the latter. On each page, the content will be written either by me or someone who may become a writer for this website in the future. Actually, this is something I would love to open up for my students to write their own reviews of fantasy or fiction novels and their respective products, after I have critiqued them to meet my own quality standards, of course.

There’s just something about a good review that I really like. Of course, there are many critics out their who give their own reviews, so presumably very few are going to consider my reviews to be of any importance. But, I don’t care so much about that. This is my place to write about the books, movies, and video games that I enjoy so much. Of course, you are welcome to join in the conversation, through commenting on my posts, as well as using the discussion boards on Facebook to sound off on reviews that are posted here.

Come back for more next week! Thanks!
